About today's Meeting

Two employees called in--the roads were to drifted over to make the commute from their suburban homes. One, our sales manager, was one and she had the most to say about next years target goals. Had we used audio conferencing this morning, she could have presented her work at home.

I'm using teleconferencing, beginning today!!!!!

Audio conferencing also is a good thing for some court calls. I am a bankruptcy attorney in New York and there have been a few accurances when I have been out of town on the scheduled court date. The court just called and set up a conference line for me and the operators called me and place me into the court room over the phone.

It was very easy and I could still attend court without changing my already scheduled plans. I will continue to use audio conferencing in the future.

All this hype about teleconferences, I just have one question. How do you know that conference calls are safe to use for business meetings? Can't just anybody get into the calls and listen? AP

January 2nd. 1 degree above zero, wind chill -16 and you have scheduled a ten o'clock meeting with your staff to discuss plans for the year ahead. Roads are still icy from the snowstorm from two nights ago, employees are grumbling to make the drive in to the office.

New Years Resolution 2008: I will use audio conferencing this year to save money and help keep my employees happy and productive.

Our company has several conference call lines with Eagle Teleconferencing. I am a speaker on all of those conference call lines. I do recommend if you are a speaker or moderator that you use lecture mode. This is great for noisy conference calls. All you do is press *5 on your phone and this mutes all the participants in the conference call. This is great because you can speak without all that noise but you can only use this feature if you are a speaker or moderator. Then to take it out of lecture mode you just press *5 again. You also have to make sure that you use speaker or moderator code when dialing into the conference call line. Great feature for noisy conference calls!
